It’s been a while since I posted on here. These last couple of weeks have been CRAZY busy around here and my blog has kind of been on the back burner. But I’m here now to share with you what I’ve been working on.
We kicked off the first weekend of February with Birthday and Valentine mini sessions here at my home studio. And what fun we had!
My very first client was a … dog?! Yup, a beautiful, silky soft, very friendly black morkie named Louie – who by the way I am missing right now! He and his family came all the way from Ancaster to get some 1st Birthday photos. Louie was an excited little guy who just wanted to play. We managed to get some great shots of him while he sat for a MILI-second LOL. And Louie’s family – so lovely! It was a pleasure meeting them. Thanks for visiting guys! Happy 1st Birthday Louie!

Soon after, we were right into our Valentine mini sessions. So excited about this because I got a chance to create a kissing booth out of wood pallet (thank you Pinterest for this awesome idea). I spent a whole weekend painting this thing and decorating it for our little ones to get behind for photos. I just love these DIY projects. My husband though,… not-so-much. lol. I’m a firm believer in the saying “what somebody else’s trash is someone else’s treasure”. Can’t wait for my next project coming soon 😉
Here are some of my favourite photos from our Valentine minis. Thanks everyone who came!

And finally, Playfit Kids Club in Cambridge, ON was having a Valentine’s party hosted by KW Moms on February 13. I was lucky enough to take part in this SOLD OUT event and to have met sooo many great women and their children. 150 tickets were sold. I was prepared to have a sea of people coming to see me. 36 families, 59 kids to be exact. And 3 hours to get everyone’s photo taken? Challenge accepted.
If you know me well, I’m the queen of organization. I was prepared to control the flow of traffic coming in. My supportive hubby helped me set up the set, and my little helper Ava handed out some promo cards/Valentine colouring pages.
We had such a great turn-out! I hope I’m invited back next year to do it all again! Thank you to all the patient mothers who waited in line to get their photo taken of their child.
By the way – did I mention the event was FEBRUARY 13 – the DAY before Valentine’s Day?! That meant I had hours to send out photo(s) to 36 families. I will admit I was up to the crack of dawn categorizing family galleries, selecting my favourites from each mini session, editing, proofing, uploading to online gallery, and finally sending out everyone’s photo(s) just in time for Valentine’s Day. Hard work and little sleep but definitely worth it to make everyone happy. Every child is so unique and personalities are so different. They all shined through in their photos below.
Special thank you to my awesome and talented friend Sarah Veiga who helped create this Valentine’s Day template. She seriously rocks!
